April 26         Renita Williams Thomas will provide an overview of the services In His Loving Arms Healthcare for Kids brings to medically fragile children.

 

Deborah Jones presents "The United Healthcare Community Plan for Louisiana”, an overview of the new healthcare system for Louisiana’s uninsured.

 

Raymond Allmon will provide an overview of Stand for Children, a national organization recently expanded to Louisiana. Stand for Children’s mission is to ensure that all children, regardless of their background, graduate from high school prepared for, and with access to, a college education.

 

 June 28       Barbara Thompson of Catholic Charities presents "Safe Families for Children"™

 

Foley Nash of Magellan Health Services will present information on Magellan and its role in the Louisiana Behavioral Health Partnership and the Coordinated System of Care for Children’s Services

 

August 2      Michelle Robinson of CAUW presents “United Way's Early Childhood Education Initiative”

 

October 25   Cradle to Prison Pipeline Wrap Up

 

General Membership Meetings are held bi-monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Meetings are held at the Louisiana Resource Center  for Educators (LRCE), located  at 5550 Florida Boulevard.
